Welcome to the ever evolving world of Pam Bustin online.

I’m a novelist/playwright/all round scribbler living with my sweet Raggedy Man in a

lovely red and white shakey shack in Northern Ontario.

We have no indoor plumbing, but we’ve got power, a phone and high-speed.  A girl has to have priorities.

I love long train rides, slow boat rides and walking on uneven ground.

My first novel, Mostly Happy, was published by Thistledown Press in 2008.  It won some awards, which was GRAND.

It has taken me quite a while to get to work on another but I’m deep into it now and working on ReVisions.

This is a place I play about in.  It’s personal with a dash of professional info – and EVER subject to change.  It began as a blog in the fall of 2012, when I got to thinking that I needed to create an “author’s website”.  (They tell us we must do these things, you know).  It promptly became… something else altogether.  A place full of chickens and monkeys and all manner of rants and rambles.

I do ramble on about WRITING once in awhile. If you’d like to check it out – head on over to the blog and check out the posts tagged with Writing, The Writer’s Life, and so on…(the archive should be just over there > on the right)

You can find my official bio and some tasty tidbits about my work on the links along the top of this page.

If you have any questions, drop a line.  I’ll respond as quickly as I can.

Thanks for stopping by.

I hope you’ll roam around a bit.

  1. That photo is perfectly hilarious! Now, if I were on a beach, the interweb would be far, far away ..

PS May I just say, your plaid shirt is killer. I feel you, Ontario girl.

    • Hey Beautiful Bliss, it’s Oct 19th and … Snowing. I hear that Zanzibar beach calling my name… But I shall bundle up and go for a walk up the lane. Loving the place I’m AT.

  2. HI Pam!
Thanks for stopping by! I always follow thru Google Friends Connect GFC but i don’t see that on your sidebar. 😦 Hugs! deb

    • Ooh thanks for note. I just started using GFC on some blogs today. Have to figure out how to add it to my own sidebar!

      • Hmm…. I’ll have to think about this… sounds like it’s not so simply 😉

  3. Totally enjoyed your post here, and will check out the part on your blog which is not about chickens. love your little shakey shack! When we started to build our cabin, i thought I did not care about things like electricity and plumbing, but later, after a few months of working in 100 degree heat with no shower etc, I was very happy to install a big jacuzzi. I’ll bet it is a bit cold up your way right now… was 74 degrees here today, but supposted to be down to 25 tomorrow… TEXAS, if you don’t like the weather, wait a minute. Glad to meet you and really will enjoy following your “writers blog”, what ever that includes. Congrats on having your book published, and will check it out. best from Texas!

    • Hey Jeanne
      OOOOOOOooooh a jacuzzi… I’m so jealous 🙂

It is cold up this way. -20Celsius tonight. Can’t remember what that is in Fahrenheit.
I’m sitting here at the typer with my fingerless gloves on and the dawg is curled up under a blanket. But the moonlight looks lovely on the sparkling snow.

And my tea is warm and tasty, so all is well.

    • Hey Linda
      Thanks for hopping over.
Here’s hoping that the blizzards end SOOOOOON!

  4. Blizzards–things of the past–except for the blizzard of swallows that come to roost near our La Penita rez every evening at the Tequila Mockingbird Rest Home for Writers and Other Northern Deities.
