An Ode to Spring in Northern Ontario Part 2 (snow warning) A walk with Pam

Coming out the back door...
Coming out the back door…
I see the shovels...
I see the shovels…
but I can't quite see the car.
but I can’t quite see the car.
Oh, there's the car!
Oh, there’s the car!
I check out the front of the camp...
I check out the front of the camp…
...and trudge back up the hill...
…and trudge back up the hill…
...still trudging...
…still trudging…
The trailer is still standing...
The trailer is still standing…
So is the out house (thank goodness)...
So is the out house (thank goodness)…
pretty....
pretty….
..so pretty...
..so pretty…
I am hypnotised by the beauty....
I am hypnotised by the beauty….
but...yes... must shovel...
but…yes… must shovel…
muuuusssst shovel....
muuuusssst shovel….
But look, honey ..it's so pretty....
But look, honey ..it’s so pretty….
Will Spring ever emerge...?
Will Spring ever emerge…?
Life keeps thrusting forth...
Life keeps thrusting forth…
..though the world be covered in snow...
..though the world be covered in snow…
..does Spring sleep under the mound?
..does Spring sleep under the mound?
...tipping...
…tipping…
..this one reminded me...
..this one reminded me…
a lion up a tree
…of this fellow…and I was warm for a moment…
..such lovely frosting...
..such lovely frosting…
...bent by winds...
…bent by winds…
...the road home...
…the road home…
..our drive way...
..our drive way…
..the emptying woodshed...
..the emptying woodshed…
..and home again...
..and home again…

  1. Lovely to look at, oppressive to live with. Fingers crossed that the lake can take all the extra snow!

    • Hullo Tracy, thanks for popping over.

We’ll have high water this year for SURE!

We are actually in a bay in the Kebsquashesing river. Methinks it will be a wild melt this year.

      Go easy ~
